Tonkawa, OK Dec. 3, 2021 – -- Gateway First Bank in Tonkawa is hosting a Christmas open house celebration on Thursday, December 16, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The bank is located at 111 East Grand. The community is invited to share food, drinks, and favorite holiday memories.

Each year Mrs. Claus reads Christmas stories to the kids and this year is no exception. The Tonkawa Elementary School children in pre-K through second grade will visit the bank the on Wednesday, December 8, where Mrs. Claus will make a surprise visit.

“We are thrilled to be able to get together and celebrate in person this year,” says Shirlene “Squirrel” Whittington, banking center manager for Gateway. “We hope that our open house will be a way to help the community enjoy a festive end to 2021 with a look forward to a healthy, happy 2022.”
