TULSA, Okla., November 16, 2020 –Gateway First Bank is dedicated to strengthening families and all the communities we serve. Whether it is working to help make homeownership a reality, financial education, a first bank account, or donating to local non-profit organizations, we seek to help others in the most comprehensive and inclusive fashion possible.

Gateway recently thanked local law enforcement for their efforts to keep our community safe by hosting an outdoor cookout at ONEOK Field. Lunch was serve to over 100 Tulsa Police Officers and a $20,000 check was presented to the Tulsa Police Department Foundation. This donation will help officers and their families in times of need, provide safety equipment and fund educational programs.

Gateway also engages with other community businesses and community development organizations to collaborate in finding solutions to economic challenges and opportunities facing the Community. This includes leveraging our role as a leading mortgage lender to advocate for more affordable housing development, as well as looking to provide and partner with other financial institutions to help promote economic development in the community where we are able.

 In addition, our Gateway Gives Back program is an expression of our cultural values which stress the importance of community outreach and giving back. We will look to support meaningful community development efforts by providing “boots on the ground” for projects and volunteer efforts. Gateway is also dedicated to investing in the communities where we live and work including support to various local and national nonprofit organizations whose focus aligns with Gateway’s core mission. Our community engagement has ranged from donating $5 of every loan to Folds of Honor to provide educational scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled Veterans to a $47,000 donation to the Tulsa Area United Way during the 2019 annual campaign to sponsoring the Greenwood Cultural Center’s Legacy Awards Dinner. We work closely with Habitat for Humanity and have a very exciting announcement coming soon that will make housing even more affordable. For the past year, we have been working with North Tulsa community leaders and recently opened a mortgage center in the Shoppes on Peoria.
