Gateway Mortgage Group Signs National Partnership with Folds of Honor

5.25.2017 - Gateway Announcements

JENKS, Okla., May 25, 2017  – Gateway Mortgage Group, founded by Kevin Stitt, is proud to announce its commitment to Folds of Honor and the families of fallen and disabled veterans.

Gateway Mortgage Group, a mortgage banking firm with over 145 Mortgage Centers nationwide, is donating $5 to Folds of Honor for every mortgage loan closed for the next twelve months. “Freedom isn’t free and more than two million dependents of disabled and fallen soldiers live with this every day,” said J. Kevin Stitt, CEO of Gateway Mortgage Group. “We have chosen to stand with our servicemen and women, and their families, who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our freedoms.”

Folds of Honor addresses the financial gap of dependents within our military families by providing educational scholarships to children and spouses of military heroes across the United States. Since 2007, Folds has awarded nearly 12,000 educational scholarships in all fifty states.

“Gateway is founded on a set of core values, and we are passionate about strengthening families,” said Mike Goyer, Chief Operating Officer at Gateway. “We are excited about the opportunity to give back to our community of brave servicemen and women and to remind their families that while their sacrifice can never be repaid, we are grateful and want to help.”

Beginning on June 1, 2017, Gateway will donate $5 for every mortgage loan originated and closed through their Mortgage Center network for the next twelve months. In 2016, the company funded more than 15,000 loans in its retail channel and should surpass 20,000 new loans this year. This is expected to generate a donation of more than $100,000 to the Folds of Honor.

“As we look forward to our continued success, we are compelled to honor our obligation to give back to those in need,” added Stitt. “It is a privilege to kick off this nationwide initiative around Memorial Day, a time when we stop to honor, reflect and pay respect to those who have fallen while serving our country courageously. We will remember your sacrifice and educate your legacy.”
