Jonathan Wallace serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Gateway First Bank. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the company’s finance, treasury, and accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting and forecasting, funding, and asset and liability management. Jonathan also serves as CFO for Gateway Servco, LLC, and Gateway First Bancorp, Inc.
With over 25 years of experience in financial services, Jonathan has held a variety of leadership roles across multiple companies. Prior to joining Gateway, he was the Chief Financial Officer at EnerBank USA, a consumer lending division of Regions Bank. During his 14-year tenure at Regions, he held multiple leadership roles in finance, including Division Finance Executive roles for Digital Banking, Strategy & Client Experience, and for Enterprise Services.
Jonathan has expertise in both the mortgage and banking sectors. He began his career in Washington Mutual’s Mortgage Capital Markets Division, focusing on whole loan sales and securitizations. Over his 10 years at Washington Mutual, he also held various finance and treasury roles supporting both Retail and Commercial Banking. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Research Analyst at Grubb & Ellis, providing market intelligence to commercial real estate brokers.
He brings a strong background in financial management and analysis, strategic planning, risk management, capital expenditure, and profitability analytics.
Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.
